How to use MINI VCI Techstream Program Camry Hybrid Key ?

This personal operation reports is written for those people who are about or have been investing in key programmers for Toyota. It will guide you on how to program Camry Hybrid Key with Toyota TIS Techstream.

Tools I used are all here:

1. MINI VCI CABLE with Techstream software (I got it only $26.99 with free shipping at uobdii.com)
2. Laptop (O.S: windows XP)
3. Two keys

First of all I install the Techstream software that comes with the CD.
Second connect my Camry (OBD2 port) with my laptop via this cable 16 pin connector


Then I open Techstream and turn ignition on
Next I click [Connect to vehicle] button

And choose car information, I choose 2014 for my 2016 Camry Hybird

Well, now I can see the [System Selection Menu], I choose [Body Electrical] and choose [Smart Key]

Then I click [Utility] button and choose [Smart Code Registration]

These are something should be noticed when begin programming smart key

I choose all options and click [Next] to continue
Techstream shows me the number of new codes available and number of registered key codes
Then click [next]

And it reminds me to separate the original key with the registered key and place a registered key 30cm or more from the vehicle.

Next, I press [Pre-Start CHK] button to review registration process and press [Start] to begin key code registration

Then I put the new key touch Engine SW in 30 seconds. After that I take the registered key away from my car for a while.

Done! It shows me that key code registration is complete

Finally, move away the cable and Exit the program.

The whole process is rather simple, only need several minutes, and the total cost is much lower than the same job you will be charged for $300 in a garage. As I know, this Toyota TIS Techstream VCI cable can perform other functions like read and clear DTCs, SRS, immobilizer, it is awesome!  I highly recommend this cable to Toyota owners!

How cheap INPA K+DCAN Cable reset BMW E46 airbag light?

This is a useful guide for you to reset BMW airbag light quickly using INPA K+DCAN Cable. It will cost you only $14! Follow below steps and you will easily turn off the airbag light for your Bimmers.

All things you need:
BMW INPA K+DCAN USB Interface $14 free shipping

Step1. Connect this BMW INPA K+DCAN USB Interface with your laptop USB port and the DLC Diagnostic Link Connector port.

Step3. Go to the Error Memory: click the “F4” button.

Go to clear error memory: click the “F2” button.

Error was cleared successfully!

Now you use INPA K+CAN BMW cable to reset BMW E46 airbag light successfully!

You should make sure the network connection is active before installing the software.

Open the CD and copy these files to the desktop

Step1: setup SDD_145.00_FULL

Then open [SDD_145.00_FULL]

Choose language and click [NEXT]

Preparing setup, waiting…

Click NEXT

Choose [I accept…] and click next

Choose [I have read and understand…] and click next

Click OK

Click install and wait until installation complete

It will pop out the message, click no

Install driver, click NEXT

Then click Finish to exit driver setup wizard

And it may take you about 50minutes to 3 hours for the installation.

Then click finish to complete setup

Step2: setup VDF_JA_145

Open the CD and open VDF_JA_145

Choose language and click [NEXT]

Waiting…

Then click Finish to exit the wizard

Step3: setup SPA_145

Open [SPA_145]

Installation complete, click Finish to exit the wizard

Step4: setup VDF_LA_145

Open [VDF_LA_145]

Choose language and click [NEXT]

Waiting…

Then click Finish to exit the wizard

Step5: setup VDF_JV_145

Open [VDF_JV_145]

Choose language and click [NEXT]

Waiting…

Then click Finish to exit the wizard

Step6: setup VDF_LV_145

Open [VDF_JV_145]

Choose language and click [NEXT]

Waiting…

Then click Finish to exit the wizard

Step7:

Then disable both wireless net connection and local area connection

Open [JLR Driver] file and open [MangoosePro_JLR] to begin install.

Step8:

Extract [JLR AutoInstall Patch 145] to the desktop

Open the file -> [Autoinstall]-> [AutoJLR]

Click patch and it will build a new file on the desktop called [user&pass]

Open the [user&pass] file to get username and password

Then open [JLR SDD] on the desktop

And input userID and password you have gotten from the [user&pass] file and click identify

User authentication successful, click continue

Dealer information

Connect vehicle with laptop via USB cable

Input VIN and click identify vehicle

Done!

FORScan scanner solve P1622 error code on Ford Focus 2008 EDC16

Actually I was a beginner of FORScan scanner, recently I got problem when using Forscan, I asked help on the forum and some kind friends offer me these answers.
 
My Question: My Focus on a P1622 Immobiliser ID wrong and engine start but in safe mode. What are the often cases that exists on my ford car?
Forum member Answer: Instrument cluster (IPC) is primary PATS module for PATS on Focus Mk2, PCM is secondary. If IPC is replaced, keys should be programmed and IPC should be matched (paired, synchronized with PCM). If PCM is replaced, IPC new keys should not be programmed, just synchronized with the new PCM. So typical scenario is that user replaces IPC or PCM and has to program PATS after it. However, as usually, P1622 should not appear after IPC replacement. This sounds like a more serious problem with immobilizer. So it would be good to know what was replaced in PATS and why.

My Question: Can Forscan do the job?
Forum member Answer: FORScan should be able to program keys to IPC and pair IPC with PCM in case of normal ignition key PATS.

My Question: I have had an ELM327 adapter. Is it ok for working with Forscan?

* I bought a modified elm327 to work with forscan and it works well.

My Question: Is the P1622 code can be cleared with Forscan with pin code?

Most likely the code cannot be erased unless the problem is resolved and source of it is removed.

Finally I want to confirm that if you have some troubles with Immo or CAN on focus TDCI 2008, you should VERIFY the cable behind the dash!!
It was defective and made troubles on CAN when in certain position…
Fix it with glue and start.... Good soft forscan works very well in HS/MS with elm modified.

Feedback on MPPS v21 v18 v16 OBD male cable

I should say, my MPPS ecu chip tuning tool works as it is designed for... R/W ECU without issues.

It’s with the green board... better than the blue PCB

The cable is a nice quality OBD male cable, it looks like many ones, but it's a true EU Clone MPPS V16 well open OBD. OBD cable adaptor looks like many ones too, but very well made!

By the way, OBD frame is so nice. High grade aluminum, good weight, nice top plate, tight shafts and good probes!

I didn't buy the suitcace with those purple adapters, only the frame.

My scale is too large for that frame, but by hand the weight is roughly 8 pounds.

Pay attention to the SW version. Chinese clone is best in MPPS V16; do not other versions, especially new versions
