BMW Standard Tools 2.12 – Install First

• Includes (EDIABAS v.7.30, Tool32 v.4.03, INPA v.5.06, WinKFP v.5.31 & NCS Expert v.4.01).

INPA_Fxx_v.2 – Install Second

• Copy INPA_Fxx_v.2 folder to C:\EC-Apps\INPA_Fxx_v.2 and EDIABAS to C:\EDIABAS overriding existing EDIABAS Folder.
• Run INPALOAD.exe from INPA_Fxx_v.2 BIN folder (C:\EC-Apps\INPA_Fxx_v.2\BIN\INPALOAD.exe).
• Note: DISABLE WINDOWS FIREWALL ANY ANY VIRUS SOFTWARE.
• Note: For Exx connection, you will need to change EDIABAS.ini file to “INTERFACE = STD:OBD” and edit OBD.ini Com Port settings accordingly to match you PC’s Com Port settings.

FORScan scanner solve P1622 error code on Ford Focus 2008 EDC16

Actually I was a beginner of FORScan scanner, recently I got problem when using Forscan, I asked help on the forum and some kind friends offer me these answers.
 
My Question: My Focus on a P1622 Immobiliser ID wrong and engine start but in safe mode. What are the often cases that exists on my ford car?
Forum member Answer: Instrument cluster (IPC) is primary PATS module for PATS on Focus Mk2, PCM is secondary. If IPC is replaced, keys should be programmed and IPC should be matched (paired, synchronized with PCM). If PCM is replaced, IPC new keys should not be programmed, just synchronized with the new PCM. So typical scenario is that user replaces IPC or PCM and has to program PATS after it. However, as usually, P1622 should not appear after IPC replacement. This sounds like a more serious problem with immobilizer. So it would be good to know what was replaced in PATS and why.

My Question: Can Forscan do the job?
Forum member Answer: FORScan should be able to program keys to IPC and pair IPC with PCM in case of normal ignition key PATS.

My Question: I have had an ELM327 adapter. Is it ok for working with Forscan?

My Question: Is the P1622 code can be cleared with Forscan with pin code?

Most likely the code cannot be erased unless the problem is resolved and source of it is removed.

Finally I want to confirm that if you have some troubles with Immo or CAN on focus TDCI 2008, you should VERIFY the cable behind the dash!!
It was defective and made troubles on CAN when in certain position…
Fix it with glue and start.... Good soft forscan works very well in HS/MS with elm modified.

Feedback on MPPS v21 v18 v16 OBD male cable

I should say, my MPPS ecu chip tuning tool works as it is designed for... R/W ECU without issues.

The cable is a nice quality OBD male cable, it looks like many ones, but it's a true EU Clone MPPS V16 well open OBD. OBD cable adaptor looks like many ones too, but very well made!

By the way, OBD frame is so nice. High grade aluminum, good weight, nice top plate, tight shafts and good probes!

I didn't buy the suitcace with those purple adapters, only the frame.

My scale is too large for that frame, but by hand the weight is roughly 8 pounds.

Pay attention to the SW version. Chinese clone is best in MPPS V16; do not other versions, especially new versions

The product is great. It allows you to change all those pesky dealer only options, also run real time diagnostics and see real time values for all sorts.

This cable may be cheap, or a knock off, but it works, and it works well! My 01 Celica connected right away, greeted with a prompt confirming it was a 2001 Toyota Celica GT with the 1ZZ-FE engine, same thing with my 00 MR2 Spyder. Tried it on my mom’s 06 Avalon, and I saw more options. Both the MR2 and the Avalon, as well as a 99 Solara my brother owns have immobilizers built in, so I can add keys, clear lost keys, etc.

It works exactly as stated to connect to a Toyota ECU to diagnose and program it. Also I used it to program a Toyota to recognize a newly added factory remote starter assembly.

I had issues pinpointing a check engine light I was receiving on my 2009 Toyota Prius. This product along with its software allowed me to quickly see what issue I was having as well as find that my 12V battery was on its way out. Sure saves money that would have been spent at the dealer.


My Lexus dealer wanted to charge me $300 to read the code for an intermittent SRS malfunction light that comes on now and then. One friend recommended this MINI VCI cable to me, I bought one to give it a go. I use this $26 cable easily read out the code!

The cable worked great on my 2016 Tundra. I was able to disable the seatbelt chime and activate the factory alarm. There are a number of other customization options available but I haven’t tried them yet. It also gives you access to all of the diagnostic data for the mechanical and electrical components. Overall well worth the money!

I would recommend Xhorse MINI VCI to anyone who owns a Toyota vehicle. I can change things on my Toyota 4runner very easily. I had some issues with VSC lights coming on. With this tool I was able to do Zero Point Calibration.

I was able to fix a VGRS steering issue on my 2003 Lexus LX 470. The software engaged something mechanical in my steering column which allowed me to realign my steering wheel to the desired position. I was amazed.

This cable and software works to communicate with the 2007-2012 series RAV4. Cable is well made. Software installation was not straight-forward. But at this price level it is a usable product.

Worked great 2015 Prius V. Used it to reset codes, troubleshoot problems, calibrate an ABS sensor, and also bleed the brakes.

For 2007 Toyota Prius which has with transmission issues it told me exactly what was wrong specifically. For 2000 Lexus GS400 which is said had a fault brake booster. To get these diagnoses at the dealer would have cost me nearly $100 and $200 respectively. But this cost me only $30!

I just successfully used MINI VCI cable to fix some annoyances on my 2012 RAV4. Specifically, I disabled the obnoxious multiple beeps you normally hear when locking/unlocking the car with the remote, as well as the daytime running lights and the seatbelt chime.

Disable BMW E46 DRLs with NCS expert OBD2 Cable step by step

Since there is no detail instruction on disabling BMW Daytime Running lights, I decided to make my own document. I am driving a BMW E46 1998 year.
Software & Hardware:
1). Using NCS Expert in BMW ICOM Rheingold ISTA-D ISTA-P software program and connect BWM ICOM A2+B+C diagnostic system
2). Download free NCS expert software and get it work on INPA K+DCAN cable
3) Old E46 has 20-pin diagnostic connector, so I need extra 20-pin to 16-pin cable.
Disclaimer:
The procedure works perfect on my E46, not sure if it works on other BMW models.
Instructions:
Open My computer
Open NCS Expert folder
Open work folder
Open a notepad “FSW-PSA.MAN” in WORK folder
Save the file
Open NCS Expert
Select File>>Load file
Select Renitor’s NCS Expert Profile

Press F1 VIN/ZCS/FA button
Press F3 ZCS/FA t.ECU
Select BMW model: E46, press OK

Select E46 ECU type: EWS, press OK
Press F6 Back
The system will display all available ECU
Press F4 Process ECU
Choose ECU: LSZ, click OK

Check ECU info in “Enter SGET data” windows, click OK
Press F5 Basic functions
Pull down the function list and select “coapReadSgGetFswPsw”, press OK

Change CBD name to LSZ.C27, press OK
Basic function perfect ended
Copy and paste “PSW-PSW.TRC” on WORK folder to desktop
Open “PSW-PSW.TRC” notepad
Select Edit tab
Look for file with “drl” and locate “FERNLICHT-DRL nicht_aktiv ”

Delete “nicht-”

Change “EINZEIT-DRL wert-01” to “EINZEIT-DRL wert-02”

Pull download the list and locate “TAGFAHRLICHT nicht_aktiv”, delete “nicht”

Pull down the list, locate “PROGRAMMPARAMETER-LSZ-1-10 ece” to “PROGRAMMPARAMETER-LSZ-1-10 us”

• “ece-xenon” remains unchanged.
• LSZ-11 and later remains unchanged

Save and rename the file as “FSW-PSW.MAN”
Copy “FSW-PSW.MAN” on desktop to WORK folder and replace it
Press F3 “Execute job”
Check if your daytime running lights are disabled
Follow the system prompt and then exit the BMW NCS Expert software

Mine VAG KM+IMMO interface is the latest version V1.8.2. The newest version has avoided data loss problem during the update procedure. And the latest version adds NEC24c32& NEC24c64 algos, 95320 immo functions etc.
As soon as the package arrived at my door, I provided the sale girl the SN. They activated and updated the device and get NEC95320authorization.
I have a 1T0920881A dashboard which is configured with Nec24C32. Lucky that mine dash form is Nec24C32. If I have NEC24C64, I have to purchase NEC24C64 Update Module for VAG KM IMMO TOOL to work with VAG KM IMMO tool.
The VAG KM cable is not that difficult to play with. I had get myself a pdf manual to play with

I hooked it up to change kilometer, read and change VIN number, it worked no problem.

These days I got another chance to realize other extra function. One of my clients has lost his car key so he went to my garage to match new keys. It is time to project key programming function. Followed by the using guide, I had solved the problem without much effort.

Diagnose Jaguar air suspension with JLR mangoose SDD OBD2 Cable

Here is an instruction on  how to diagnose Jaguar air suspension with JLR mangoose SDD  OBD2 diagnostic interface for Jaguar and Landrover.

Vehicle symptom:
2004 Jaguar XJ8 64,000 idling with yellow check engine light on

Instruction:

Well install JLR SDD V142 diagnostic software
Connect the mangoose /mangoose pro cable with vehicle via OBD socket
When loads SDD it automatically read the car VIN, and then welcome at the vehicle summary screen

Check the DTCs status. Come to the Symptom menu, jlr sdd will detect the vehicle control modules. The yellow question marks indicates that the vehicle does not have the option module fitted, like CCM, FLM etc

To erase suspension code, move to “Chassis”>> “Suspension system” >> “Vehicle dynamic suspension”

The system will detect the DTCs automatically and analyze the DTCs and tells you the most likely candidate for the fault.  The DTCs result will group into events based on the symptoms you have specified.

A single fault code “Pressure increases too slow when fitting reservoir” (suspension code) is listed in Event 1. The bulb icon on the right indicates that the check engine light (amber suspension light) flashes. There are also two DTCs in Unknown Event, they are not the main causes.

Click the RLM C1A20-64 DTC information‘i’ icon, the SDD software system will bring me about the DTC Help.

Directly search “Possible causes” that matches with the vehicle symptom. Then do some modification to solve the existing problem. For example: if the compressor is faulty or the intake filter is blocked/ restricted, get the old compressor unit replaced.
